Rev. Dr. Percy Ransom, affectionately known as Pastor Ransom, was born July 16, 1945 in Greenesboro, Georgia.  He is the retired pastor emeritus of Cosmopolitan Baptist Church located in Miami Gardens, Florida.  His family moved from Georgia to South Florida in the early 1950's.  After leaving high school he enlisted in the US Army and was deployed to protect the border between North and South Korea.  After his honorable discharge from the army, he continued his education attending Florida Atlantic University and graduating from Florida International University with degrees in Sociology/Psychology and Business Administration/Management.  He pursued his graduate studies at Miami Christian College (Trinity) and North Florida Baptist Theological Seminary earning a Master of Theology and Doctor of Ministry degrees.  He earned a Doctor of Theology degree and his Ph.D. from Jacksonville Baptist Theological Seminary.

 

Pastor Ransom was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1982 and has been the Shepherd of the Cosmopolitan Baptist Church, Miami Gardens, Florida from its inception as a mission in 1978 until he retired in 2016.  His church services, evangelistic sermons, caring and generous heart has radically impacted the lives of congregants and the community. 

 

After more than 38 years in ministry, Pastor Ransom continues to be a leading voice of inspiration, and influence in the local South Florida community today.  Although retired, he continues to work in the newly incorporated city of Miami Gardens as not only a minister but coordinating his efforts with the Mayor and the Community Council members to make this new city a vital part of Miami-Dade County.  In addition, he serves as the Chief Chaplain for the City of Miami Gardens Police Department.

 

Pastor Ransom is presently serving as leader of Ransom Of the Lord Evangelistic (ROLE) ministry with emphasis on End Time Prophesy.  In addition to conducting workshops, revivals and special events.

 

He is married to Purnel Ransom, the father of four (4) adult children, grandfather of eight (8), and great-grandfather of three (3).

How much does it cost to book Pastor Ransom?
